The Balancing Act: Mom, Wife, Dream-Chaser

Updated: Jul 8, 2025

Let’s just say it—being a woman today often means being everything to everyone. And while we’re grateful for the titles we hold—Mom, Wife, CEO of All Things Laundry—we’d be lying if we said it doesn’t get overwhelming.

Balancing motherhood, marriage, and chasing a dream of our own is hard.

Some days feel like a win because the kids got fed, no one cried (much), and we managed to answer a few emails. Other days, we’re running on empty, wondering if we’re giving enough to any area of our life, let alone all of them.

The truth? Guilt creeps in often.Guilt for not playing long enough.Guilt for missing that one text from your husband.Guilt for wanting more—for yourself.

But we’re learning that the pursuit of your dreams doesn’t take away from the people you love—it sets an example for them. Our kids are watching us create, build, and show up. Our husbands are witnessing what it means to grow as individuals and partners.

We’re not perfect. We yell sometimes. We forget spirit day. We get burnt out. But we also keep going—because what we’re building matters. Not just the business. Not just the podcast. But the life we’re crafting, brick by brick, on our own terms.

Balancing it all isn’t about perfection. It’s about grace. It’s about priorities shifting. And it’s about honoring the season you’re in without losing sight of who you are.

To the women trying to do it all—you're not alone. And you don’t have to choose between being a good mom, a loving partner, or an ambitious dreamer.

You already are all of those things.

XO,

K + O
